We have taken Christmas down and packed it away for next year.  I lied.  I have the out side lights and a beautiful red stocking to put away still.  But for the most part, Christmas is packed away.

The new year abounds.  I wish you all success with your resolutions.  My resolution is to do what is doable and to reclaim my happiness and reclaim my true self. I can do it, no, I WILL do it!

We have had such a wonderful visit with my family.  My sister and brother and brother in law and mom and dad and memaw came to visit.

My sister took me and Allisa shopping at the store she works for.  Its wonderful that we found the same store up here that carries my size.  I got a $25 shirt for only $5 with her discount!  I’m hooked on the store now.  I’m so glad that I also received a gift card there as well.   I gave my sister a little sock monkey ornament that she loved.  Plus a necklace made from scrabble pieces that say XO.  And a starbucks gift basket.

My brother gave me a movie that he had that I have been wanting for ever.  Solar Babies.  We watched it when we were much younger and I have been wanting to see it again but could not find it.  So I had it on my Amazon list.  He surprised me with it.  What a great surprise.  Brad gave me a book that was on my wish list as well.  I can’t wait to sit down and look at it.  I gave my brother a gift card to Best Buy and him and brad a gift card to Lowes since they have bought a house together.  I’m excited for them.  I also gave Brad two books from his wish list at Amazon that he really really wanted.

And my mom and dad got me a new microwave.  Its so cool!  It matches the rest of my appliances!  I love it.  I got mom a beautiful necklace from etsy’s Marsha Toh.  She loved it.  And my dad received two hiking sticks that he wanted.

My hubby got me a new vacuum.  I wanted a dyson but we were unable to obtain one.  So I have a Eureka Wind tunnel 2.  Its very comparable to the dyson.  I’ve been vacuuming the floors with it.  lol it has really really good suction which is what I want.

For our girls, Allisa received a gift card for $30 to old navy and a recharge minute card for her cell phone and a few other things she wanted.  Elise got toys of course.  Blues clues plushy and a few electronic learning toys.

I have to say this was the best Christmas I’ve had in a long time.  We’ve spent some good quality time with my family.  Everyone really enjoyed themselves.  We cooked, we ate, we watched movies, we went looking at Christmas lights, we had a blast really.

The girls have just thoroughly enjoyed having everyone here.  Allisa really connected with her Aunt Tina.  Elise just hung on everyone.

Grammy and Pawpaw are still here, they don’t know when they are leaving.  And that’s cool with us.

So, I’ve been cleaning since mid week.  Cleaning my computer, cleaning my house, clearing my head, my life and just everything.

A nice good cleanse.  Its refreshing.  Its energizing.  Its peaceful.  Its just what I need.
This past week I’ve been able to free up ALOT of time.  Which means I have more time for the girls, and for my craft.

My family is coming up for christmas.  The end of this week is when my mom, dad, and sister are coming.  I’m so excited to be able to spend the holiday with them.

Clean clean clean is what I’ve been up to.  I’m just about done for the most part.  My living room and kitchen/dining area are pretty much done.  Now I’m moving to the upstairs.  Elise’s room is fairy clean.  I just need to put her diapers in her diaper holder and run the vacuum.  Allisa’s room, well that is another story.  She’s up cleaning right now.  Once she gets done with that I’ll be vacuuming and steam cleaning her carpet.

I have a few things to put away in the hallway.  I actually think I’m going to reorganize the hall linen closet.  There are a bunch of things that can be stored in the basement because we’ve not used them in the past year.  that will free up some room so I can store some of my sewing supplies.  Then i will move on to my bedroom.  I just need to dust and vacuum and get some sewing supplies out of there and clean my bathroom and it will be done.

We are having Elise’s birthday party tomorrow.  We don’t expect there will be tons of people.  Its on a sunday and we didn’t know when we were planning the party that it was supposed to snow like crazy.  I’m okay with it.
